Exclusive rights are transferred from the Assignor to the Assignee upon the execution of the Assignment Agreement.

Can exclusive rights be transferred free of charge?

Yes, the transfer of exclusive rights may be either compensated or gratuitous (e.g., in the case of a gift). The transfer is made at the discretion of the rights holder, based on a legally executed agreement with the Assignee. However, if the agreement does not explicitly state that it is gratuitous and does not indicate a price, the contract is deemed invalid. In case the Assignee fails to pay the agreed compensation within the contractual timeframe, the Assignor has the legal right to demand the reversion of exclusive rights and recover damages through court proceedings .
